Behavioral Health Services offers mental health and substance abuse prevention and treatment services to Madera County youth and their families.

Youth experiencing a mental health challenge may receive services from one of our specialized programs, including:

  • Outpatient Services

  • Infants and children 0-5 years 

  • Youth involved in the Juvenile Justice System

  • Youth and Families involved with the Child Welfare System

What to expect when you call for services:

  1.  Begin by calling our ACCESS LINE at (559)395-0451 or toll free at 1(888) 275-9779.
    •  When you call, we will ask about your concerns. You will then be given an appointment for an evaluation that will help us better understand your needs.
  2. Prepare yourself for the appointment by making a list of concerns and questions to discuss with the mental health professional. 
    • Also prepare documents such as your Social Security and Medi-Cal cards, current address, phone number, and any case information if you are being referred from another agency . You will be seen regardless of your ability to pay.
  3. Go to your appointment. Bring your related documents.
    • At your appointment, you will meet with a mental health professional that will connect you to the programs or services that best address your needs.  You may receive treatment and/or referrals to community partners.
