Thank you for visiting the homepage of the County of Madera Treasurer-Tax Collector. The Treasurer-Tax Collector receives, safeguards, distributes, and invests County, School District and Special District funds.
The most common types of property taxes are secured, unsecured and supplemental taxes. In addition, the Treasurer/Tax Collector's office receives Transient Occupancy Taxes (hotel and motel), business improvement district taxes, prepares and collects business license renewal fees and conducts an annual sale of property deemed to be in tax default five (5) or more years.
Annual Secured Property tax bills have been mailed. 1st installment is due November 1, 2024 no later than December 10, 2024.
Unsecured taxes are now passed due. A lien was filed on all unpaid unsecured taxes on October 7, 2024. Please contact our office immediately for payoff amounts.

Cycle 1: Amount due end of February $59. Amount due end of March $99. Cycle 2: Amount due end of August $59. Amount due end of September $99.
We would like you to understand that this bill does not get sent to your mortgage company as it is a separate bill therefore it is your responsibility to make a payment.
