The Madera County Clerk-Recorder's Office is aware of various services that offer real estate fraud protection or "title lock" services and advises all property owners to thoroughly research any company before subscribing to a service that claims to prevent real estate fraud.

Property owners can review the Official Recorder Index at any time, and as frequently as they wish, to determine if any unusual or fraudulent documents have been recorded. If suspicious activity is detected, property owners may contact the County Recorder at (559) 675-7724 or RecorderInfo@maderacounty.com for assistance.
