Madera County WIC uses wichealth.org for online education. It’s simple to get started.
- Create an account.
- Complete a lesson.
- Receive credit from your WIC clinic.
Your device can be a smartphone, tablet, or computer. It’s simple and quick to set up and use. First be sure that your device has Chrome, Firefox, or Safari5+.
When creating an account through WICHealth, the “family ID” section is a specific number assigned to each WIC family. You can find your Family ID in your WIC APP, calling us to ask for it, or we can mail it with the instruction how to create a profile, or via Teletask we can text it to you.
After registering, you will see your dashboard. Click “Start lesson.” On the webpage, you will see your recently completed lessons.
Complete 1-2 lessons from any 1 of the 5 categories you choose.
There are different sections to each lesson:
- Breastfeeding
- Infants
- Children Ages 1-5
- Healthy Families
- New and Expecting Parents
Fill out and submit the survey at the end of the lesson.
Food benefits will then be loaded to your eWIC card by WIC staff during normal clinic hours (Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm).
If you have questions about your benefits or completing your nutrition education online, call us at the Madera County WIC office at: (559) 675-7623.
