Pregnant and or parenting youth and partners in pregnancy and parenting, up to 21 years of age (at the time of enrollment) are eligible for AFLP services. The Adolescent Family Life Program – Positive Youth Development (PYD) is a strength-based case management program designed to support and empower pregnant and parenting youth. The program emphasizes building resilience to help youth thrive during and after they exit the program. Case managers meet one-on-one with youth to establish a caring relationship, identify their needs and interests, offer support with accessing services. More importantly, they set goals and plan for the youth's future. This approach recognizes that all youth have strengths, benefit from high expectations and supportive relationships, and can make a meaningful contribution to their lives, families, and communities.
