How to Fight a COVID-19 Surge
It is important to remember that we are not in 2020 anymore. We have learned a lot throughout this pandemic and have many tools to prevent serious complications from COVID-19. Be prepared for if and when COVID-19 strikes.
1. Assess your risk
Based on the current evidence, a person with any of the conditions listed below is more likely to get very sick from COVID-19 or be sicker for a longer period of time.
- Adults ages 65 and older
- People with underlying medical conditions.
- Some people are at increased risk of getting very sick or dying from COVID-19 because of where they live or work, or because they can’t get health care. This includes many people from racial and ethnic minority groups and people with disabilities.
