Madera County Health Officer, Dr. Simon Paul  issued the "Health Officer Teleconferencing Recommendation" letter Oct. 8, 2021,  offering teleconferencing as an option to attending public meetings.  This  protects again COVID-19 by creating physical distance while encouraging participation in public meetings, and helps those with transportation issues.  

This satisfies the Brown Act requirement (Government Code section 54953(e)(1)(A)), allowing local legislative bodies in Madera County to use teleconferencing options.
