Services

You may return library items at any SJVLS library or use our book drop in front of the library. You may also renew items or check your account by going to Madera ValleyCat, click on my account, enter you card number and pin number. SmartPAY is also available to pay your fines online. 

Federal, state, county, and local information, government documents, job opportunities, planning department information is available for public review at each library.  Local history and points of interest are also available. 

Meeting Rooms are available at the Madera, Oakhurst, and Chowchilla Libraries.  Call for availability.

Copy machines are available at all Madera County Libraries. For typewriter and microfilm services contact your local library.

We have free Wi-Fi at all five library locations for personal electronic devices.

Public computers with internet access are available at every branch with a one hour time limit. You need your library card for access.

Inter-Library Loans

Madera County Library is a member of the San Joaquin Valley Library System (SJVLS), a consortium of 10 library jurisdictions from Merced to Bakersfield. As a member of SJVLS, Madera County patrons can borrow library items from a member library and have it delivered to their home library free of charge.
