Thanks to generous scholarships from the California State Library, Madera County Library is excited to launch the Career Online High School (COHS) program! This innovative online opportunity allows you to earn your high school diploma and gain valuable career certifications at no cost to you.
Who Can Apply?
This program is open to Madera County adults aged 19 and older who have not yet graduated from high school. You’ll need access to a computer or tablet and a reliable internet connection. Expect to dedicate around 10 hours a week to your coursework, and previous high school credits may be transferable.
How to Get Started:
To kick off your journey, complete our online Readiness Survey. Our MCL staff will reach out to you and guide you through a two-week prerequisite course followed by an interview. Once you’re enrolled, you’ll be paired with an online academic coach who will provide personalized guidance and support throughout your studies.
What’s Included?
With COHS, you’ll have access to 24/7 online coursework and materials, giving you the flexibility to learn at your own pace. You’ll have 18 months to complete the program and upon successful graduation, you will receive:
· A High School Diploma
· A Career Certificate
· A Career Portfolio
· Job Preparation Training and Skills
