Interim Traffic Improvements on Avenue 12
Target Completion by the end of September 2024
- In partnership with California Highway Patrol there will be increased enforcement presence along the Avenue 12/SR 41 corridor with a primary focus on speed, cell phone use, DUI, and commercial vehicle compliance.
- Placement of message board signage with “Slow Down” at key locations on Avenue 12.
- Removal of home builder signage in right-of-way along Avenue 12 between SR 41 and Road 40.
- Adding a left turn pocket and a temporary signal at Riverstone Boulevard Southwest.
- Putting up delineators at Road 40 to eliminate left turns.
Avenue 12 Long Term Traffic Improvements
Construction to commence 2nd Quarter 2025
- Construction of a 6-lane road from SR 41 through Riverwalk Boulevard.
- Transition 6-lane to 4-lane road through Road 40.
- Construction of a concrete raised median for the entire corridor from Hwy 41 to Road 40.
- Traffic Signals at the following intersections:
- Riverstone Boulevard Southeast
- Riverstone Boulevard Southwest
- With Caltrans approval, construction of 2-right turn lanes southbound onto SR 41 from eastbound Avenue 12.
