Pet Licensing is your Pet's Ticket Home
Introducing DocuPet:
If your dog gets lost, a license tag on your dog's collar is one of the fastest methods to reunite you and your dog. DocuPet’s 24/7 Lost Pet Service is included with your Madera County Animal Services license tag and can help get your pet home, should they wander off.
Licensing lets people know that your dog has received the required vaccination that protects your dog from rabies. Your dog's license also shows that you are a responsible dog owner.
Dog license fees also help pay for the care of lost and orphaned pets, for animal cruelty investigations and other community services that promote animal health and safety. As of November 2020, Madera County has onboarded DocuPet as our official pet licensing partner. Licensing your pet is now easier than ever as DocuPet offers a simple online experience along with additional benefits including:
- Free access to the HomeSafe 24/7 lost pet service.
- A selection of over 160 designer tag options that double as your pet's official license.
- A central dashboard for your pet's medical records and information.
- A quick and easy online solution for purchasing and renewing your pet's license.
Purchase your license via DocuPet:
Licenses may be purchased for one-year, two-years or three-years periods, provided that the rabies vaccination is valid for the same period. The dog license expiration may not exceed the rabies vaccination expiration.
