The California Code of Regulations, Title 3, sections 6690-6692 addresses pesticide applications near public K-12 schools and child day care centers. Below are the English and Spanish versions of the fact sheet for growers and applicators. 

Pesticide application restrictions will apply Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., depending on the type of application equipment used and the type of pesticide applied.

An annual notification by property operators to schoolsites and the County Agricultural Commissioner is required by April 30th of each year. The notice includes contact information and a list of all pesticides expected to be used within 1/4 mile of a schoolsite during July through June.
