The Glassy-winged Sharpshooter Program serves to detect and control the vector of Pierce’s Disease, a potentially catastrophic disease of vineyards. This program involved the placement of traps in both urban and agricultural sites. In addition, incoming shipments of host materials and susceptible county plantings were inspected.
