Plants and Plant Products Origin Certification
Our office facilitates the movement of plant and plant products to other counties within California, to other states and to other countries. Each shipment destined to another county, state or country is inspect to ensure that it meets their entry requirements. A Federal Phytosanitary Certificate or a California State Phytosanitary Certificate is issued depending on the shipments destination. Both certificates can be requested through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Phytosanitary Certificate Issuance & Tracking System (PCIT) and selecting Madera County as the Requested Issuing Duty Station. Those needing certification can contact our office via phone (559) 675-7876 or via email AGexport@maderacounty.com at least 24 hours ahead of the shipment leaving your facility.
