NOTICE OF TRUTH ACT COMMUNITY FORUM

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors’ Chambers at the Madera County Government Center, 200 West 4th Street, Madera, CA 93637, a public Community Forum under the Transparent Review of Unjust Transfers and Holds (“TRUTH”) Act will be held during a Regular Meeting of the Board of Supervisors, pursuant to Government Code section 7283.1(d).  The purpose of the TRUTH Act Community Forum is to provide information regarding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”) access to individuals during 2018 and to receive and consider public comment, pursuant to Government Code section 7283.1.  Those wishing to comment may either appear in person at the public forum or submit written comments, which must be received by the County prior to the forum.  Written comments should be sent to the Clerk for the Board of Supervisors, 200 West 4th Street, 4th Floor, Madera, CA 93637, or by electronic mail to cotb@maderacounty.com.  This public hearing is accessible to individuals with disabilities.  If interpreter services for the hearing impaired are needed, please call the Clerk for the Board of Supervisors at (559) 675-7700 no later than five days prior to the date of the hearing.
